Veterans Memorial Hall was constructed in the Greek
revival and classical building style at the request of the
citizens of Winnebago County to honor area Veterans.
Today, just as when it was dedicated by
President Theodore Roosevelt on June 3, 1903,
Veterans Memorial Hall stands to honor all Veterans.

Behold a Collector’s edition of a book mentally composed and memorized in Hanoi during more than 6 ½ years as a POW. It was published as Winnebago County’s Memorial Hall opened the exhibition themed “Service Over Self”. General Borling says “The permanent exhibition features military memorabilia donated by me and my family from 37 years of worldwide, military service.”
